Michael J. Wallace, Director

Background and Experience
Mike Wallace is the Director of New Jersey Technical Assistance Program
for Industrial Pollution Prevention, located at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
He has thirty-four years of industrial experience, including
thirteen years of environmental experience.
Mr. Wallace is a former chairman of Synthetic Organic Manufacturers
Association (SOCMA) Environmental Committee, and former chairman of
the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers' Association (PhRMA)
Solid Waste Committee.
Education
Mr. Wallace possesses has a Bachelor of Science degree in
Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

Michael Mongiovi

Background and Experience
Michael Mongiovi has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and is currently
pursuing a M.S. in the same area. He has been with NJIT since 1995,
when he worked as an on-site consultant to Novartis Pharmaceuticals
Corporation (formally Sandoz), and now for NJTAP. He has experience
with dry cleaners, the NJ Pollution Prevention Act , permitting, and
cost benefit analysis.

Laura Battista

Background and Experience
Laura L. Battista has a M.S. degree in Environmental Policy and is
currently enrolled in the Ph.D. Environmental Science Program at NJIT.
Ms. Battista is a pollution prevention analyst at NJTAP, working with
manufacturing facilities in the areas of regulatory compliance,
pollution prevention, and waste management.

Eileen M. Wolgast

Background and Experience
Eileen M. Wolgast is a pollution prevention analyst the New Jersey
Technical Assistance Program for Industrial Pollution Prevention (NJTAP).
With an educational background in environmental science, environmental
engineering, and occupational safety and industrial health, Miss Wolgast
focuses on advising companies in areas such as pollution prevention and
environmental health and safety. Her grant-funded background consists
of working with federal and state agencies, as well as trade organizations.
She has been employed at NJTAP since 1996.

Kelly Jeune

Background and Experience
Kelly Jeune is the administrative assistant in the office.
Ms. Jeune performs invaluable services to NJTAP and assists with all functions
of the Program's day-to-day operations. Before joining NJTAP,
she worked with the Office of the Public Defender (Union Region).
Ms. Jeune attended Essex County College, in Newark, New Jersey, where
she studied Business Administration.

Pete Beckhusen
Background and Experience
Pete Beckhusen is an environmental consultant with 35 years of
experience in process control and plant design. Mr. Beckhusen has
been working with NJTAP for eight years.

Richard Rosfjord

Background and Experience
Rich Rosfjord has over 25 years of environmental, health and safety(EHS) experience in the chemicals/plastics and the
pharmaceutical industries, where his activities ranged from media sampling and analyses to EHS
audit program development and implementation. In addition, he served with the NJ Department of State,
Office of the Business Ombudsman, which facilitated business-government problem resolution and
advanced regulatory reform initiatives.
Education
Rich has degrees in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University (BS, '66) and NJIT (MS, '75).

Richard A. Rawle

Background and Experience
Richard A. Rawle is a graduate from NJIT with a B.Sc. in Chemical engineering (May 1997) and a M.Sc. in
Environmental engineering (Jan. 1999). Mr. Rawle is a current employee of NJTAP as a pollution
prevention analyst.
